I spent the weekend with some of my most favorite people on the planet at the Life Group Leaders Retreat for Overcomers Assembly. One of my mentees and acquired younger sister accused me during the BBQ after that I don’t really share what I do enough and another lady agreed with her. My response to them was “No!, that’s not true”. But on a second thought after reading this scripture this morning, I think their accusations may be somewhat true.
““No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a washtub or shoves it under the bed. No, you set it up on a lampstand so those who enter the room can see their way. We’re not keeping secrets; we’re telling them. We’re not hiding things; we’re bringing everything out into the open. So be careful that you don’t become misers of what you hear. Generosity begets generosity. Stinginess impoverishes.”” –Luke 8:16-18 MSG
I didn’t mean to keep what I do as secrets, we just hardly ever get there. So here you go.
In July of 2012, I quit my financial planning job to pursue whatever God had in plans for me and my family. I actually turned down a great secured income (and good benefits) to have the freedom to design my life the way God had it planned originally.
And today, my family and I hop on the plane and go wherever God needs us. Neither being controlled by a company nor the benefits they are willing to give me. My husband and I are vocationally the founders and senior pastors at Overcomers Assembly but we both are bi-vocational pastors or should I say multi 😉 and our 2 boys are grateful for their lives.
I love to disciple believers and also coach them to focus as they embrace God’s plan for them. That’s the theme on my weekly podcast as well.
However, you may not know that I earn an amazing income, coaching those who want to turn their uniqueness and skills into a great income like I did. I work one on one with clients in my 8 weeks VIP program.
In a few days, I will be heading back with my family to Nigeria, where one of our church plants is. I can’t wait to see the amazing people there that we love dearly. I can’t wait to see the wonderful children in our free mission primary school, I can’t wait to see the teachers and everyone in general.
I am extremely grateful to God that He opened my eyes back in 2012 to elevate purpose over income.
After returning to Nigeria in a few days, I have decided to do another quick stop again in Cornwall, Ontario. I will be hosting a clarity retreat on Sept 21st & 22nd at the amazing Nav Center.
This is for you if you feel undervalued at your current position. You may or may not love your job but you are tired of feeling like there is more to your life and tired of not knowing the exact steps to take.
This is for you if you are ready to find fulfilling and meaningful work that aligns with your Christian values. This may be your opportunity to start earning a good living doing what you love.
This is not for you if you are looking for a get rich quick scheme, it’s not for you if you are not ready to take massive steps in discovering who you are and fully embrace God’s plan for you; because my program is going to take you deep into fully understanding which combination of your unique strengths, skills and weaknesses will turn you into a specialist, so that you can start earning as much as you want doing what you love.
I must also add that it took me many long years of hoping and I even tried all sorts of work from home programs while trying to figure out where a decent income would come from to support my family. However, I am glad that now it only takes my clients about 60days to find their first profitable idea; the kind that people are desperately waiting to pay them for.
If you think my support will give you the clarity, boldness, and accountability you need to launch out into your next level of Impact, send me a private message or an email to olu@olusobanjo.com
Again this is not for everyone and I have only 5 spots, so hurry!
And if this isn’t for you now, be generous, pls share it with someone you think will really appreciate this at this moment in their life.
Again the scripture is:
““No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a washtub or shoves it under the bed. No, you set it up on a lampstand so those who enter the room can see their way. We’re not keeping secrets; we’re telling them. We’re not hiding things; we’re bringing everything out into the open. So be careful that you don’t become misers of what you hear. Generosity begets generosity. Stinginess impoverishes.”” –Luke 8:16-18 MSG
It may be your turn to become you!
